Eric's love for woodcrafting started at a young age in wood-shop class. From there he continued to pursue activities and jobs that allowed him to use his skills as a woodcrafter. Upon moving to Santa Barbara, California, he worked as an apprentice in a cabinet shop. He attended Orange Coast College, and a short time later was hired as a Journey Level Carpenter for the Los Angeles School District.
